Our last gift before we left Playa Azul on Tues. of this week.  Peter drove 9 1/2 hours to our next destination in Punta Perula for some much needed rest before going to Puerto Vallarta in 6 more days.  Made some delicious banana bread, and spending time preparing for the next phase of our journey. Thank you again for your prayers, as God leads us.
Choosing some ripe bananas on this tree for our breakfast.
Please pray for Vicky & her family.  God knows her needs, and again, we send our love to all who God has put in our path during these first few weeks.  We also thank all our friends & supporters back home for helping us be able to spread the Good News of Hope through faith in Jesus.
God has laid this family on my heart, and although some have "given up" on them, I just pray that God will send more workers to this area who love Jesus & wish to reach out in love for the sake of families like these.
A couple of nights before we left Playa Azul, one of our families we've been working with came over to say goodbye, & we had one more chance to show a Billy G. DVD, and had a long time to talk to them about not only knowing "about" God, but making Him REAL in their lives.
Our friend, Luna, was only able to be with us for 12 days, & we made the best of our time together for the Lord's work! She came to our camper to say goodbye (our dog, Pancho, is trying to get my attention), & she brought her two sisters & two kids with her. We were able to show all of them one of our Billy Graham DVD'S before they left.
Peter was very busy being asked to speak at Pastor Marciano's Church, & at two men's Bible studies.  He loves the men's studies, with this Pastor interpreting. One study with over 30 men attending was especially special.  After Peter spoke on "knowing God through His Word & prayer", the men were anxious to ask questions, and the interaction was fabulous!  God has blessed our time here, and we thank Him for the many opportunities He gave us.

This is Pastor Marco at one of his shops in the Market place giving us another free lunch!  He is so generous & appreciative that we help him w/shoes & Bibles for the people in and around his work & his Church.  (and his chicken tacos & natural drinks are to write home about)!
Please pray for this wonderful brother in Christ & his family.  He & his wife prayed & fasted for 5 days before we arrived, and for the Big Event, which brought out around 500 people!

This little guy was enjoying his Bible, & his friends wanted one also.
This is the "back" of Blanca's Mom's humble home - but just look how awesome our God is, and how He provides for them!
Blanca is at the lower right, whose home we are in front of, and these are my helpers.  The people were very "needy", and very respectful & thankful!
These guys are showing Peter how the fishermen kill the fish with this club, so they can take the hook out of their mouths!

One of the girls who works at the Hotel we camp behind, invited us to give out our remaining shoes on the street where she lives. She told a few of her neighbors, & they invited others, & we had 60 or more come.  Each family tried on shoes and was given a Bible, and we had a chance to share Christ to many.
Almost all of the children raised their hands to ask Jesus into their lives & to follow Him. It was amazing to see the hand of God working through the teaching of His Word!
Luna invited all of her nephews & neighboring children (about 22) to her sister's house for another Bible lesson. Again, we teamed up & spoke to the children, asked them questions, and enjoyed sharing w/them about Jesus.
This is my dear Adelaida trying on some reading glasses we brought from home.  She can't read, but it helps her see other things up close.
We brought Luna with us to see them two different times, and had so much fun "catching up" on all those years we could barely communicate!
Ten years ago we met this sweet older couple. Each year we would give them a Bible, Christian tracts, show them a Christian video, etc.  then God answered my prayer & sent Luna down here (far right) to help me communicate for me & two years ago, she led this couple to the Lord!!  This year, Luna led Paula, (w/apron) to Christ, and we are all thrilled to see Jose reading his Bible & to his dear wife, Adelaida, (who can't read). We again, give God all the praise for answered prayer & for this dear friendship.
We had several Mother's who came to us for prayer &  wanting to have Jesus in their lives!  What a wonderful afternoon we had talking about Jesus & how much He loves each one of us!
One happy little girl to know Jesus!
What a sweet face!
All twenty children raised their hands to ask Jesus into their hearts, & we gave them a children's tract & a Bible to those who didn't already have one.

One of the Dads bringing "agua de coco" (cocoanut with water w/nutmeg & cinnamon) for everyone. The families were so happy to help!
Time for hot dogs, w/lots of chili, ketchup, mayo, and more! This small group devoured all 100 hot dogs that one of the mom's cooked over the fire for all of us.
Twenty school kids showed up, along with their moms & babies too, & everyone raised their hands to receive Jesus & to follow Him! They were so good at listening & answering questions.
Luna wanted to speak to some of the local children, so we planned a party & lesson for them in a half finished house (out of the sun), that belonged to her aunt.
All my special girls I have known for several years - receiving Bibles for their families.

Luna has been such a great help with her translating, & sharing with those we have been trying to communicate with for so long.
One day this week we invited some workers at the Hotel we camp behind to come to our camper & see a Billy graham DVD about important decisions people have made in their lives.  We had a nice lunch together, and after the DVD, three girls asked us for prayer, and they also made a decision to follow Jesus.
We also want to thank Relevant Church and all of our supporters for making this missions trip possible.  The people here have asked us to thank everyone for sending us, and sending the shoes and Bibles, and for making God's Word RELEVANT to them!!
This is my wonderful Christian friend, Luna, who was the answer to my prayers two years ago when I asked God for a woman who could translate for me.  She called me one week before we left SC, & told me she would help me again this year.  We have worked as a team, & I want to share some great stories with you all.
We were so blessed to have 5 bi-lingual girls to help Carole with the shoes, and a Pastor & wife who just couldn't do enough to show their love & hospitality to ALL who came to help & even fed all 500 people besides!!  On the right of this picture is a Pastor from Morelia, Mx., & an awesome and vibrant translator.  God answered above and beyond what we prayed for.  We love our prayer partners back in the states who are praying for this ministry!
Hola Amigos!  This is Pastor Marco praising God for the turnout of about 500 people who came on Sat. afternoon & evening.  J.C. from our Church in South Carolina gave a testimony, and we had lots of music, and a wonderful message from Marco, & many people made a decision to follow Jesus.  After the message, people went into the Church for shoes & Bibles for their families, and others still outside watched two Billy Graham DVD,s.

Today is the day the Lord has made, & we are very thankful & enjoying it!!  We left S.C. this past Wed., and this morning we crossed the border into Mexico with ease, went through the X-ray machine with our truck & trailer, passed all inspections, and left with smiles & thanksgiving to our GREAT GOD who is always faithful!!  We are ready to serve our Lord this coming Saturday, the ninth, to Share the Sword with hundreds of people who need to hear the Good News for their soul, and to have soles for their feet!  THANKS TO ALL OF YOU, who are journeying with us and praying for us!  We love you, & will write again when we get to Playa Azul, where there is internet service.
